Gary Houk

Gary R. Houk lost a courageous battle with cancer on August 18, 2008 at the age of 56.  Gary was a 1973 graduate of The Ohio State University receiving a B.S. in Computer Science and earned his Master's in Business Administration at OSU in 1984.  He was a passionate Buckeye fan rooting for the "Scarlet & Gray" all his life.  At the time of his death he was the Vice President of Corporate Information Technology and Business Integration of OCLC in Dublin, Ohio.  Gary was an avid golfer.  He was also know to be quick with a joke.  He was survived by his wife, Randi; daughter, Shannon (Ben) Stenberg; his parents, Maureen & Joe Savely and Robert & Carolyn Houk; his sisters, Paula (Charlie) Tate and Karen (Jeff) Barger; his brother, James (Susan) Houk; half-sister; Robyn (Charles) Bailey; and step-sisters, Sindy (Joe) Wilson, Renee (Steve) Miller and Susan (Fred) Douglas.

* While Gary did not graduate with the Copley Class of 1969 many remember him from the years he did attend school in the Copley-Fairlawn school district.
