Gary Michael Menhorn, 59, died November 5, 2010 after a courageous battle with ALS.

Born in Akron, he lived in Copley most of his life. Gary graduated from Copley High School in 1969. He worked in the construction business as a sales rep for many years. He loved playing golf with all his buddies and in the Men's Club League. He was past President for AHEPA and COCA. He served as treasurer in the Men's Club and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where he loyally served on the Board for many years.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Corrine Menhorn; survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Sandy (Mela); sister, Cindy (Carl); brothers, Mark (Sueann), David; in-laws; God children; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron with Rev. Fr. Jerry F. Hall officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron where a Trisagion service will be held at 7 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church or ALS Association of Northern Ohio, 2500 E. 22nd St., #102, Cleveland, OH 44115.
