Oh Janet, the photos are Brilliant! Thanks so much for the names, I almost feel like I was there. BUT where were all the guys for the dancing? I only saw one brave man, Kerry! Sort of like junior high?

ok, so here is what I did...
I separated the reunion photos into two galleries:
"40 Reunion Gallery 1" is photos from Friday (which I just posted). "40 Reunion Gallery 2" is photos from Saturday.
I only have a few photos left that I took to put on from breakfast Sunday morning.

Many thanks to all the folks that worked to make our 40th a success and so much FUN. It was wonderful to see everyone and hear about their families. We are a very fortunate class to have a group of classmates that will work so hard to pull off such a great event. Cant wait till the next one. I am still in shock that I won the BIG jackpot! I actually bought lottery tickets before leaving Ohio thinking my luck might hold out.....no such luck didnt have one number right!

I do hope that all the "southern gals" will be able to get together somewhere for a weekend retreat. Im counting on Debbie to name the "half-way" place for us to all meet for a nice fun weekend.

Deborah Diefendorff (Boies)

oh boy Donnie, pressure pressure, I will throw some "half way" places out for ideas. The problem is that Columbia, SC is a half way destination and nobody wants to go there--ha! We could always slumber party it here on the farm or head to the beach in Charleston? I am open to ideas and all girls are welcome, southern living or not!

Kudos to who ever put together this great web site. After looking at the pictures from the reunion and I don't think I would know any of you if I passed you on the street. I sure do wish I could have been there. I would love to hear from any of you 69ers.

Debi & Donie-
Sounds like a fun weekend. Just give me enough notice to book a flight.

All-
While the reunion is still fresh in our brains I have been approached to consider a multi-year reunion. I have been contacted by members of the class of 1968 and 1970 to combine reunions in the future. FEEDBACK PLEASE. If you do not want to post your response on this message forum and would prefer to keep your comments private - then email me at copley1969@hotmail.com. I think our class has gained a reputation as putting on a great reunion. It would certainly change the dynamics of the planning committee. Let me hear your thoughts...
Thanks!

I think it would be great...many of the 69ers did "run" with classmates in the class before or after the year we graduated. I personly would love to see some of those fellow Copleyites. Of course they have heard about our great reunions. I dont know any other class that does it up like we do. Most havent gotten together near as many times as we have. Of course I give all the credit to the great group we have that work so hard to make ours happen. Who would have thought our crazy Shady would turn out to be such a WONDERFUL organizer....go figure.

Janet...just make sure there are members from 68 and 70 that are willing to work as hard as you guys do to make it all come together. I apprejciate all that you guys do and would not want to see it become an overwelming project by adding two mnore years of classmates. But it sure would be fun if it could be pulled off!!!!!!

I have a hard enough time remembering my own classmates!

I like the idea! Possibly consider going back to include 1967...and like Donnie said.......only if there is someone from each class willing to help. Let me know what I can do from California. Always willing to pitch in and promise I will show up for more than just one evening event.

You all did a fantastic job and can't thank you enough for pulling it all together. Kudos!!

Oh Jimmy...do we need to send ya a copy of the yearbook? I knew Jeannie Dukes husband should have held onto the copy he won in the raffle instead of selling to Murray. Dont start getting old on us guy we depend on you to keep us all young and laughing. lol

We wont even be able to recognize the 69ers at the next one. ALL the guys will have lost their hair and have beer bellies and I dont even want to think what us ladies will have to contend with. It will take me 6 hours to fill the wrinkles with goop. Janet will make sure they all have name tags on um......Besides an event like that would surely give you some new material for one of your shows. Just think of the possibilities...to be able to pick on the underclassmates one more time. AND give some grief to the ones that picked on us and graduated in 68. We could finally get even with um. We could have the pre reunion crew distribute some "toilet paper" at their houses. I want to be on that team at the next reunion!

CHECK IT OUT EVERYONE
I added photos to the 40 reunion galleries sent in by Dave Felber, Colleen Thomas and Mary Beth Sawdey and also a few more I had. I added another gallery and did some rearranging so you're going to have to look at all 3 galleries to see the new photos. There are some really funny photos - especially of Colleen & Connie sent in by Dave and of Jimmy, sent in by Mary Beth.

Janet, thanks for posting the photos....I think. The true test of a comedian is being able to be the "butt of his own jokes"...Mary Beth helped accomplish that for me. I must admit....funny!

I hope we can keep the site going...that way we never grow up. Ps...I was in the bar for the infamous kiss between Connie and Colleen. Wait for the video to be released!

Is there going to be a new "Girl's Gone Wild" video staring Connie & Colleen?

Connie Miller (Beddow)

An innocent smack on her ruby red lips
Turned the heads of many
And began headline clips
Who knew you were taping
As we bid farewell
Can't wait till the 50th
To share and tell

xoxo

Colleen Thomas (Cunnane)

There once were two ladies(a-hem)named Connie and Colleen
Who, with the ’69-ers, did each - party like a queen!
They drank and they giggled.
And they drank and they wiggled.
So when asked to be pictured for the sake of the CLASS
They obliged a brief kiss – with lips shaped like a bass.

Now why, you may wonder, would they do such a thing
When it’s clear they’d prefer not a queen but a king?
Well the answer is hidden
In lyrics long ago written
‘Tis a song about dancing & jumping around
“Girls Just Wanna’ Have Fun” all around Copley Towne.

So, keep your ear to the ground for the age-less ’69-ers.
‘Cuz if you miss them – for sure – you will be great big whiners
The tapes, now you see, have already been filed.
Their new show to be called, ‘Geezers Gone Wild’
Captured live/in action - only one problem you see
When you look for their boobs, check DOWN by their knee!!!

Oh my, Colleen, that is priceless! We must keep our sense of humor in tact as we age, right? Jimmie-please forgive me, I didn't plan on taking that picture, it just happened, and then I couldn't delete it, too funny...

Hey Group!
Cool it with the Boom-Booms over day!!! Ghoulardi - who knew he'd get so big in only 3 years/seems like longer!?! The show last nite on PBS was great - brought back mucho memories - like PARMA's white sox and polka music(never could get away with that now in our OVERLY PC country!) the gurn man from Wales: pa-pa-hoo-mow-mow, pa-pa-hoo-mow-mow! It sure was a great time to be a kid...

Greetings precious Class of 69! Well everyone looked, sounded, tasted and smelled fabulous! I will be praying for everyone's health and safety-no H1N1, T5Y5?, K9T9?, or any other viruses--only the 1969 bug! Bless you all!

Pilgrims!
(I know it's stupid but it's still funny)

Happy Thanksgiving,
