Happy birthday John. Best wishes and enjoy the day. Looked up your temperature for Lancaster and saw it was cold. But it’s cold in Santa Barbara too.. Anyway have a enjoyable birthday.
Happy Birthday Dave! Have a productive yet fun day. Thanks for being a loyal friend all these many years. Be sure to eat something wickedly caloric and delicious today. Later . . .

Back then we would sit in the library and discuss why the US was involved in some non-essential foreign conflict. Then there would be the theories about how civilization was crashing to an abrupt ending. Nice to see that are things in life one can count on. Like you my friend. Have a fantastic birthday. Maybe listen to Cannonball Adderley's "Accent on Africa"? And stop writing all that subversive poetry. You're in Ohio man! If you want to write poetry come and visit me in Santa Barbara. Sam Riney

Happy birthday John. Hope today is enjoyable for you. All the best to you. One thing is certain. Now at this point we can't be fired as front page co-editors of the school news paper. I still think it was funny. Sam
